am i being to easy on my car

hi, i shift at 3k rpm am i being to easy on my car of should i shift later.
i dont know if its every1's car but mine sounds abit loud to me i used to drive my mom's suv so i am not used to this much noise , any tips will help

I have an automatic but when driving normal it shifts around 3 - 3 1/2.

I used to shift at 3-3.5k until i got a few miles on my car. Now it seems running at a higher rpm is just more fun......by the way that 'louder sound' is your Honda coming alive

yeah, damn drive it as hard as you like. I have a 95 EX and have punched it to the redline about half the times I come to a red light and am 1st in line. My car still runs like brand new. And you might just pick up a race or two while you are at it!

btw- I FINALLY BEAT SOMEBODY!! yeah! An old ford escort! lol

he wanted to race, and so I said fine! and handed him his ass. I think I beat him by 3 car lengths and he only raced up to 60mph. wimpo!! ha ha. made my day though

so rev it up man! go for the gusto!! 1st gear is all you need

lol, ok, so shift once you get to 35mph, but have fun, Hondas rule at taking a beating and keeping on running!

Well, I would say letting the vtec kick in would be cool, but the LX's do not have a vtec engine.
