Re: 94 galant please help can someone please answer back

i called some trans shops around me. they all told me the same thing. the mitsbishi trans are noted for striping the torque converter. the splines inside the converter. and a remanufactured torque converter was $100.00 sure enough i pulled the trans. and removed the torque converter and sure enough it was stripped. the shaft on the trans is still perfect not stripped at all. i just put the new torque converter on and it works perfect. so if anyone else has a trans problem. it may just be the torque converter. keep in mind if the car dont move at all not in any geag. not forward not reverse. then the chancer its the torque converter. but if it does go into some gears then the trans is shot. just wanted to give you all the update. thank you for your help. john
