Congrats Speedy!

My dealership told me at least 400 miles for breakin, the manual says 600. I split the difference. I slowly ran it harder and harder until I got over 500 miles, then I beat on it and drove it hard. I now have almost 5000 miles. It still seems to be getting faster. I would recommend changing the oil and filter after the first 1000 miles. With any engine, as it breaks in and the rings seat to the cylinder walls there will be a certain amount of metal that wears into oil. It is probably not significant, and no auto manufacturers mention changing the oil this soon, but my thought is "better safe than sorry".

I have an Apex Silver Evo 8 also. I got it because I did not want to be too flashy and attract the wrong kind of attention. I am working my way through the mods, so if you get the bug to start changing stuff, just ask. I'll gladly share my thoughts on different products.

Have fun and take it easy till you learn the limits of the EVO. I still reach my limit before the car does.
