btw i have a 1996 k1500, with the 4L60E and the trans was rebuilt at 142k..... in the trouble shootin guides and etc aamco looked at it said that the ground wire must be installed after a rebuild we over looked it and didnt think it seemed to matter the truck already had a shift kit installed so we didnt think anything of it.... im rather close friends with aamco, well then the trans started sliping at 168k miles and so they rebuilt it under no cost, friend of mine installed corvette servo and kevlar band and did what he could, and this time after it was rebuilt the truck shifted very firm and yet it felt good....heh, then after about 100miles it started slipin so we went to the dealer and picked up a wire which costed 25 dollars...ill be makin them for the 1996 trucks soon for aamco....so if you need the wire hit me up a pm im askin 10 bucks includes shiping and instrucnions.....and im not responsable if you mess up lol.....but anyways we threw it on there and it shifted even harder and better and smooth so....i was happy....before the ground we scaned it with a snap on scanner and found no codes and the present time.....then a couple weeks later i had a ses come on and so i scaned it and it poped up with: P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction

Re: Help, P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction

No such code for a 96. Try updating you scanners software. There must be another code if the SES came on. I had the same problem with the first AutoXray unit I had and the code dissapeared with the first software revision I used
