Redlining

My freind(the one who owns the 7) doesnt want to redline his car. From what i know an occational redline is good for the car. If this is true, is there anything to back it up? thanks in advance.

redlining is going to help on not letting the 5th and 6th ports to lock , wich is going to result ,in the failiure of the above.

hehe, I redline my bimmer (yeah, yeah, pistons, i know) on nearly every shift once the engine is warm

your friend sucks... you shouldn't buy an rx-7 if you aren't gonna drive it the way it was made to drive

rx-7's have a big problem with heat thats y he doesnt want to I wouldnt either. Feb im gettin my red 94 rx-7 comes with front carbon diffuser and carbon spoiler + superdragger exhaust.

we all know about the heat... but they are hot if you rev them or not man so the only way to cool them off is to get an e-fan or a new radiator or such

or install an S5 radiator, and i agree with soyo this is why i bought my RX7 to REDLINE th hell out of it. cuz when i got hooked on racing on a piston engine the stupid heads got warped, http://www.cardomain.com/id/evilmexican
