Doing my swap tomorrow and I am going to get new belts. Just to check, I buy belts for the 88-89 teg, right? If not let me know, if so, just nod in agreement.....

Re: Belts for ZC?

ya, I am pretty sure the alt. and alt belt are the same (I tried to put a DOHC ZC one on my car, the alt terned out to be bad, probably because it had been sitting outside a friends house for a few months or something).....

Re: Belts for ZC?

the accessory belts are from a 88-91 Civic...since the accessories bolt to the same place. As noted above, the timing belt is an '88 Prelude 2.0 Si - if you decide to do the timing belt (which you should unless you know the condition of the existing belt, you should also spend the $35 and do the water pump too...esp. if the engine's been sitting, the seal in the pump likes to go bad, then you have to take all that stuff off to do it anyway. the proper pump is a '91 Civic/CRX water pump

DOHC ZC, I,H,E, urethane bushings and mount inserts, rock chipped hood, some rust, stock steelies, nice comfy Integra seats, and the A/C works! What else could you want from an 18 year old car with 241,000 miles? Working on getting the Si tranny in now

Re: Belts for ZC?

I have a quick question about the zc...
I wanna put one into my 90 dx, will I have clearance problems with the valve cover? I want to get a carbon fiber hood, but I wanna know if I'll need to get the ZC hood. When searching for parts out of a magazine that only has years and models and not engine codes, would i be looking for parts for a 88-9 integra? cuz I read somewhere something about crx as well?
