Do only the voltswgon 1600cc,1776cc, and 1915cc enignes fit in properly? Can any other enignes fit besides those made by voltswagon. possibly honda engines, ect. ???? thanks

The air-cooled VWs sort of maintain the spirit of the original Porsche. And they're easy and cheap to work on.

if you wanted to get a honda engine in you'd first have to find a transmission that bolts up to it that also allows the engine to fit properly, then you'd have to put some big honkin' fans on the radiator to cool it since it won't be getting the air flow back there that it was built for.

Do not forget - for the Engine you must have enough Space under the Bonnet!

My 356 uses a 2.0 turbo Subaru engine (300hp).
