CD Player Backlights

I have a 97' cavalier "rally sport" edition. It has the factory CD Player and it works fine. I was thinking of upgrading it, but the only reason I want to upgrade it is becuase at night when I turn the lights on, the CD players backlights are out. None of them work, They used to however, but I suppose going over to many potholes burnt them out. Is it possible to change the lights in the CD player or should I just upgrade to a new system?

LOL you should try the new Cavaliers. The new ones can keep up with the best of em, even on steep mountain roads. I had a blast this weekend taking my new cav on a few road trips, I actually passed up lots of cars doing 70 up steep roads. Lots of fun! I used to have a 93 that was slower than hell going up hills so I can understand, but that was a 93.

Re: CD Player Backlights

trust me man you can afford a new deck.. I bought mine from crutchfeild.com They send you everything you need to install it on your car, and lucky for you the radio in your car dosn't effect your door chimes so i would get it from there. I paid 259.99 for mine and love. Pioneer deh-6500 no longer maid but sweet!
