did i get ripped off?

i just purchased a Hayame Catback exhaust. its 100% stainless steel, but the piping is all sanblasted. i called hayame and they said that it is 100% stainless steel. im confused because a magnet is not supposed to stick to a stainless steel. it doesnt stick to the canister, but it does for the rest of the exhaust. is there something in the sanblast the causes it to be magnetic? please comment on this guys. later

A magnet doesn't stick to stainless steel? I thought a magnet will stick to any ferrous metal?

hang on I'm gonna go stick a magnet to my sink to see.............

...well I'll be damned... learn something new everyday. Magnet slid right down into my drain and clogged it.... .shit.
