69 mach one help me

hey out there,

i got a few questions for ya. one is i have a 351 w in my car and i am wanting to change it over to a manual. i would likea six speed and there is a 93 cobra with a t56 tranny. it is a six speed and the cobra has a 351w in it. so my question is would the tranny link up or are they just to different. and will we are on the subject. i was wondering if the tranny will hold up to all the power i plan to put on it. i am aiming for about 350-400hp and around 325-350lbs trq. so will the trnny hold or is that to much to put on it. this will be a daily driver and i will have to show people what it is capable of. so that means racing every now and then. but mostly crusing car.
if you know any of this info i would greatly appriciate it.

p.s. if it wont handle it is there any thing i can do to the tranny to strenghten it up???

thx

that trans shoudl work nicely. make sure you take the pressure plate and clutch that are attached to the donor motor. that will ensure that your input shaft spline will match up. the trans will easily hold that much power. sounds like you have a decent start to your plan.

Re: 69 mach one help me

thnx but i got one more question (maybe) the drive train. will the stock one work or will i have to get a custom one made. i am going from an auto to a manual. i have never done this before so i am alittle worried that the drivetrain wont fit. also what is your opinion on whiching it over to fuel injected and possibly later getting a custom turbo. or should i stay classic and go carb with a super on top. that is all for now thnx again
