I Hail! Greetings & Salutations!

Just a ol' fart, still dabble in wrenching here & there. Been wrenching for 44 years on Cars, Motorcycles, Generators (USAF), Heavy Equipment, anything that runs on gas/deisel.

Used to build airplanes at McDonnell-Douglas,

Taking it easy here in Vegas, seeking light & wonderin' what the hell is next!

Remember; The Lord God admonishes us to put no other god before Him; & that even includes car manufacturers! Fan worship isn't a religion ...

Go Raiders! Al Davis for President!

Spun Rod Beariig on #1 Cylinder; 4.6L SOHC

Hiya Ace! Tried your link; didn't work ... curiously; the Doonesbury character used for your avatar was modeled after Dr. Hunter S. Thompson, a distant acquaintance from my old Rock & Roll days in Colorado, & Hunter DESPISES Gary Trudeau, but Hunter despises almost everything so go figure ... BACK to the 4.6L SOHC 'Stang I'm repairing; disassembled the engine today & it was as I suspected: Spun Rod bearing on #1 cylinder. Evidence of past overheating (coking of oil residue), frozen oil rings, slick cyclinder walls. Are you aware of any recall/TSBs regarding this occurance? Thanks & hope to hear from you soon.
