interior lights do not go out

The interior lights im my 1998 Venture do not dim or go out when the doors are locked or after the car is started. Allthe doors are properly closed. I can turn off all lights with the overhead console switch. Any suggrstions would be appreciated.

Re: interior lights do not go out

Thanks, friend. I was sure I checked that, but aparently didn't. I guess I'm just destined to do everything the hard way. iBy the way, no one else suggested checking the dimmer switch. You not only do NOT sound like an idiot, but provided a good reminder that suggesting what one might consider obvious should not be overlooked.

good example of the old mechanics KISS principle, KEEP IT SIMPLE, STUPID. Not meaning that you're stupid, but sometimes we get looking so hard for a major problem, we forgte to check the obvious. Glad to hear you fixed it, and good call Broughy84.
