Wheres good place for speakers/65 malibu?
sup everybody -
I have a 65 malibu - ss decals and trim and still just have the one dash mounted monaural speaker. I'm lookin to upgrade to a decent stock- looking system but am having trouble finding info on stock speaker locations. I found a piece on the ss z-16 which said that it had rear-window ledge speakers. Are there any other places? - Any reccomendations? Also, has anyone refitted a 65 malibu with stock-looking AC, I live in san diego and I need it bad- just want to do it right. Thanks- Dave |

Speakers
There is a aftermarket speaker for under the dash with much better sound than the old style repro. If your car is not for show, you could do a little cutting in the rear l and r area behind the rear seat. I also have seen many people cut holes in the door panels and mount round speakers there. Some buy movable speaker boxes for the rear floor area if you plan on seriously loud music. GL

Re: Wheres good place for speakers/65 malibu?
originally there was only the factory center local and some models could have a center rear speaker. NPD has replacement center speakers that fit in the stock location and provide 30 watts of power. We will also have Pioneer versions with 80 watts for next year's catalog.
