I always try to keep at least 1/4 tank just in case. Most of the time it's a least half full. I got into that habit years back because condensation isn't good for a metal tank. Don't have to worry about that now though, these ones are plastic!

good for you I burned mine last week and had to fix it I got to get into the habit as well
