Im kinda in the same boat as Nick, only my lancer is just an ES. I'm in college and low on cash but I'd still like to have plans to fix up my lancer and i'd like to do it right with as much bang for my buck as i can get... I was kinda leading toward a supercharger since i don't need some un-godly powerful turbo and I only want about 10lbs of boost max(since this is my everyday car). well, like Nick said, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Daniel

If you have already done the basics, as you stated, your next step is to make the handling better. From everything I have learned driving and racing motorized vehicles, handling should be #1 in importance.

Look at it this way - a car with the EVO's power that handled like mom and pops Buick would be a death trap. A car with the EVO's handling and the power of mom and pop's buick would still be fun to drive.

It doesn't take massive power to take corners at 40MPH, it takes great handling. That is what you should now strive for. Strut tower braces, lighter wheels, wider tires, better springs/struts, bushings, sway bars, etc. You will be able to enjoy the results around every corner, every on-ramp, every lane change. Good luck

Re: motor work for lancer? oz rally?

don't forget about the drivetrain! something has to keep all that power under control.

u can always go to RRM and get the throttle body and ported intake manifold...non turbos really feel it...whats this about a supercharger...?
let me know where to look...its true...the valves and heads are the weakest link in the 4g94...so if a turbo is in your sites...plan on upgrading
your heads and internals...although you can probably use a nitrous cooled intercooler...

i'd like to see what other people have done to their lancers...i'm converting mine to an EVO 7...wish me luck...

definatly, with any lancer thats not an Evolution they have body roll that needs to be eliminated before major power ideas should come to mind. with mine all I really plan to do is tb, headers with cat back, and things of that nature, but before I dare to do that I am definatly getting tie bars and coilovers. belive me, it can scare the sh!t out of you going into a corner with extra power, and feeling the car start it's body roll.
