no fuel ahh!
ok, so i have a 1996 cavalier. i suspect that the fuel pump is dead. but ive taken off my fuel filter a few times and each time.. it was full with gas! i cant get the gas tank off either (michigan rust sucks!) is it possible for the fuel filter to fill with gas without a fuel pump??

Re: no fuel ahh!
When you turn your car to the ON position... you can hear the fuel pump turn on, if you don't hear a noise comming from the back of your car, then its your pump.

Re: no fuel ahh!
well, after putting some wd-40 in the line from the fuel regulator point of view, i cleared what seemed to have been a clog and the fuel pump actually started to work! i could hear it. the car still didnt start. im allowing my battery to charge now.. hopefully the liberal amount of wd-40 that i put on the regulator will allow it to work properly.
