Well, there are a ton of cars in that category. Gotta narrow it down a bit more :P

Somthing that handels nice and thats faster then an SRT-4
15k..Easy DONT HATE - Go with a late 90's civ si b16 motor drop a grand in suspesion and 4 more into the engine and you will take most cars on the road. Or get a stang or somthing if you want rear wheel drive. There arent really any 4 bangers that can compete with the SRT-4 for that price.

Well if you are willing to put money into them DSM's aren't bad, well for reliability they are, but AWD is a shitload of fun when racing a car that just roasts it's tires off the line.

"Here's an idea...wait maybe a year and get a used Srt-4." Good idea Qwkslvr04, but why waste your money on a Dodge?? Get something decent like a Ford! Just kiddin, SRT's are great. What about the new chevy cobalt, supposed to be around 15k?

Srt4's have pretty bad resale value, I can pick em up through the auctions with under 15000 miles for 14,100. I would go with the used. Just make sure its a late model with limited slip.
