Re: fuel pump relay location

It's one of the three relays mounted on the outside of the fuse box. It's 4-pole with 2 green/purple wires coming of pin #87.

Re: fuel pump relay location

there are 6 relays mounted on the external of the fuse box, is it on the drivers or passengers side (left hand steer) and what is pin #87 or what is a pin for that matter? and thank you so much for your help, it appears you are the guru around here!

Re: fuel pump relay location

Hummmm, ok, 6 relays, I don't recall that many but I just forgot what I did 1 hr. ago....The fuse box is always on the left side [sitting in the car], the relays [from the factory] only slide mount on the front of the fusebox [right above the battery] or onto it's right side [next to the engine].
All the relays will will slide straight up & off the fusebox with their connector plugs for access.
The "PINS" I referred to are the term for the male blade plugs coming out of the relays, each numbered by approximate universal now,function.
The fuel pump relay has a 4 connector plug WITH, one RED wire, one RED/WHITE wire, one BROWN/GREEN wire and TWO[2] GREEN/VIOLET wires with connect to the relay's PIN # 87 {pin 87 is the powered circuit load ( consumer ) to ground on all relays. Can be 87, 87a, 87b depending on how the contacts are switched }
Following so far? I sometimes get techncally 'winded'

I also STRONGLY recommend replacing the DME Main Relay which has five connectors, large RED wire, small green wire, small brown wire and TWO #87 terminals, one with a medium sized RED/BLUE wire, the other with two RED/WHITE wires, one small and one large climped to the same terminal

I HPOE this HELPED more than confused you, BEST TO YOU........jeff b.
