Code P0401 - Egr Flow Insufficient

I have a 1999 Malibu. Have the engine light on. Took to AutoZone for code check. Receive code P0401 EGR Valve Flow Insufficient. Replaced EGR Valve. Light went away for a day, but Engine Light turned back on. Checked code again, and received same P0401 code. Any suggestions?

Joe

Take it to a shop with a real code reader...I've taken a couple cars to Autozone to have them read the code - almost always they can't tell me what it means. You can also try looking up that code on google...just search for "odbII p0401"...you might be able to find a fix. My guess is it's not the EGR valve, but probably either carbon build-up in the intake or bad vacumm
