nsx powered integra: progress

here are a couple pics of my progress on this so far. this is my first time doing body/puddy work.

as you may know there are a couple people making such an integra so i will leave the pictures to a minimal. i have done many original things on this model and dont want anyone try to replicate it. you will just have to wait until the finished product!

please excuse my horrible camera

any comments are appreciated.

Sweet. What rims/tires are those? Have you already thought of a color scheme? Maybe silver with black hood/trunk?

Re: nsx powered integra: progress

black is probably USDM and red is probably JDM. are you gonna make this car rear wheel drive? or side mount front wheel drive?

Re: nsx powered integra: progress

they are the stock revell civic si rims , integra tires, and chrome lip from a veilside skyline...its unique, i like it.

the color will be mica red with a gloss black base. it wont be silver as my civic is silver. i like all my projects to be different.

the enigne will be side-mount front wheel drive, but due to the size of the enigne i will mount it as far back as possible for a better weight ratio.

does anyone know what will improve the torque steer due to the FF? i want it to be as realistic as possible.

Re: nsx powered integra: progress

The valve cover colors just varied depending on the year and the trim level of the car, it had nothing to do where it was sold.

By side mount you mean longitudinally mounted right? The same way it is in the NSX? And as far as torque steer, the only thing you can do is put the differential close to center and make the drive shafts the same length, as torque steer is caused by twisting the shafts; the longer one can twist slightly more, power gets to the wheels later, the car steers. Not much you can do but make the shafts stronger and hope for the best.

Re: nsx powered integra: progress

yes mounted like it is in the nsx. even with a larger 1/24 engine and wheel wells i have some fitment problems, as you can see, the intake must be brought behind the enigne to clear the wells, oh well.

Re: nsx powered integra: progress

1/24? What kits are you using?
BTW the NSX engine is "transverse". "Longitudinal" is front to rear.

For unequal-length axles, the longer shafts are usually thicker to counteract torque steer. If using equal-length axles, an "intermediate shaft" that extends from the long side, so that the end axles are of the same length. This center shaft is the thick one and basically acts like an extension of the transmission.
