Hi, new here and hope you can help me out.
I purchase this car for my son and we seem to have issues with an alarm that is in the car. The transmitter is broken and doesn't have the buttons. I have no idea if this car alarm is original (factory installed) or one that was installed after purchase. Does someone have an idea on how I can find this information out. Please any help would be great also keyless entry no code is know for that either. Thanks |

Re: 1993 Nissan Maxima (alarm need help)
I'd look under the hood for an external siren. If you find one, trace the wires back under the dash and you'll find the brain. Also, you can just look under the dash for wiring that looks out of place or aftermarket wiring.

Did you try asking the person you bought the car from???
What does the transponder look like??? I'm leaning towards an after market alarm system because your car comes with a keyless entry system from the factory, which includes an alarm. Also check under the cover of your transponder where the battery goes, theres usually brand and model information under there. Good Luck!!!
