Apparently there was an oil leak.

So I moved my car from the parking lot to the garage just for last night, and when I moved it this morning there was some fresh oil drops on the concrete.

This is probably why my oil level got so low so fast, and in turn has damaged my car.

I have had the car for 4 months and already the engine is gone.

My car sucks...hehe..

Re: Apparently there was an oil leak.

its all part of having an older car......if your on a budget, go find a d16a6 for cheap and swap it in, just so you have something to drive.....

Re: Apparently there was an oil leak.

ok so today i get it to my parents garage because there are tools here, and I notice that the red part of my engine (the head?) is covered in oil. Not covered, but the valley part, where the spark plugs go, has oil on it.

I removed the spark plugs and found one that is about half way full of oil.

Does this mean my headgasket is dead? I did some research on the forums and the most commonly said words were head gasket, but I couldn't find a deffinate answer.

Re: Apparently there was an oil leak.

get a valve cover gasket set, your spark plug tube seals are leaking. $30 in parts, 15min labor.

their called spark plug grommets. What you should really do if you want to, is get a complete head gasket set for an 88-89 integra. That will include every gasket from the head gasket up, even the valve stem seals. Look into it meng

Why not just buy a head gasket set for a 88-91 Civic? I picked one up for mine for $90.
