Whats the best out there as far as spark plugs and plug wires? Haven't experienced any problems or anything, just curious. I remember my '93 Chevy having problems with both.

I did just find soem pretty nice sounding wires by Nology called HotWires at www.eautoworks.com 'Bout $170 with shipping.

Stick with Toyota wires and the recommended plugs. Nothing works better.

I agree with brian, there also only a few bucks more than name brand aftermarket ones.

I put aftermarket plugs (NGK's) and after about 10,000 miles my truck started getting sluggish, so I checked the plugs, they were already burnt, so I went to the dealer, and purchased the Toyota ones, now I'm approx 25,000 miles from the plug change, and wow, the gas milage just keeps getting better and better, almost 23 mpg (22.6) on the highway, 98 V-6 4X4, with 33/12.5/15's on my truck with just a 2.5 inch lift kit. I can't believe the toyota plugs made that kind of a difference.

You don't have to buy the plugs from a dealer, but make sure you get DENSO or NGK multi-ground plugs (DENSO PK16TR11 or NGK BKR5EKPB-11) for a V6 Tacoma.

on ngk.com it says the BKR5EKPB-11 are for tacomas up to 2002 but they are also the same for a 2004 3.4L right?

Yes, there is no difference in the plug requirements for the newer 3.4L engine.
