89 RS wont stay on please help

im new too camaros....i just got a 89 RS from my pops its a v6 ....whenever i stop at a red light or whatever the car idles at 1 then it starts to go down untill it turns off i have no clue whats wrong with it...can u all gimmie some help???

sounds like a simple tune-up problem.. Check your air filters
replace the fuel filter if it hasnt been done in awhile.. Also get an induction service or fuel system flush done to clean out your fuel and intake system.. If that doesnt solve the problem.. Chek your ignition system.. plugs, wires cap and rotor! good luck with your new car

also, fuel pump might be going bad... i had the same problem. but i also replaced a lot more other stuff that it needed too.... computer, PCV, plugs and wires, dist and rotor, ign coil. Do tune-up, if no good, check fuel pump.

Weird, we have the exact same cars. Yours is what mine is supposed to look like, the paint is peeling on mine, what about yours. You have a black rear bumper, I have a black front ground effect.

yep thats my ride...it is pretty clean before me and my dad it only had one owner...the paint was perfectly fine till some dumbass honda crashed it while it was parked...so that explains the bumper...and the paint is peeling on the front left cus that part ran into my uncles Mustang when the honda hit it

haha hondas are crap that car was traveling pretty fast for a honda when it hit the camaro...fortunatly only the bumper got ruined.....his whole car got F-ed up...damn plastic cars....by the way ur ride looks sweet dude i like that tail

thanks, im planning on making it more badass on looks , look for it near the end of the year, and also near summer the engine will be a monster...

btw that silver color is nice, when did it last get repainted???

im almost sure its the original paint cus where its chipped in front, it looks like its just the bumper no other paints or anything...know what i mean??...anywho it belonged to some old people who didnt drive it much so the paint is real clean...old people are cool they only put 42,00 miles on the car in 13 or 14 years haha

WHAT!? maybe they changed speedometer milage, cause my 95' has 57808 and my 99' has 39k damn my 99's almost up to yours... not fair

lol im possitive they didnt change anything the people were old haha...the whole car is completley stock they did nothing too it since they bought it so yeah its only got 42k and that makes me all tingly inside haha
