weird locking hubs..or so im told

My brother has an 85 K5 diesel blazer 4x4. He's replacing the front rotors. It has "locking" hubs, but there is no diagram that we can find that shows how to disassemble the hub to remove the rotor. We've had the whole neighborhood looking at it and no one can figure it out, we have a Haynes manual, but it doesn't really help. A mechanic buddy said it looked like someone got "junk yard special" and that it looks like a hybrid of the the automatic and manual locking hub....but everyone is at a loss . If anyone has any ideas on resources I could access to help me solve this dilema, I would be eternally grateful(Its no fun taking him to work at 5 in the morning LOL) Thank you in advance.
