Do you know who's made the remote starter included in my Malibu 2004.

Not sure why you are interested but the vendor is http://www.lear.com.

I suppose Lear might make some of the system, but I doubt it. I think the remote start on the 04 is part of the bcm, not an add-on unit.

Lear makes the key fob and the keyless entry receiver. This module sends a signal to BCM requesting remote start.

You are correct that the BCM does contain a lot of the functionality for doing remote start as does the powertrain control module.

I was only thinking about the customer interface which was the key fob, sorry.

I have a 2005 Chevy Malibu LS, and going to buy the keyless entry remotes from ebay. Can u give me Programming Instructions. Thanks.

It is easy, but not what you want to hear. Take the car to the dealer for programming fobs - its the only way

My malibu 2004 doesnt have remote start. Came with remote keyless entery remote but not a remote starter remote
