I need to find a 90` ckerokee engine for my jeep 4.0 L6 hard to find.

if you are looking for a 'crate motor', try advance auto, or auto zone. they are usually able to order specific engines, otherwise, a salvage yard can sometimes look for a specific vehicle for you. most of the older cherokees are the same and the engine can be swapped. I have a '92 cherokee and have looked into some of the options... good luck

ajax auto in calif. sells a lot of cherokee parts but they usually dont carry any this old. 91 or newer are different and almost impossible to put in unless you rewire the whole thing because of the computer. i know where a 1990 moter is. it came out of a limited that was rolled. there was service records in the jeep and it was very well maintained. it showed a little over 100000 miles on it so should be just about broke in for this moter. bad part is price. 800.00 plus crating and shipping. that also what ajax charges. would be cheaper to find one local if possible. if you are interested let me know and i will put you together with the person that has the moter,

I recently looked on ebay to see what the 4.0 motor was selling for and I seen a few with less than 80k going for arouond $750 - $900 epending on seller. Take a look for your motor.
