BOTH rear shocks dumped fluid!
Both rear shocks dumped fluid ('97) 75,000 miles
Want to change to standard and forget the self-leveling feature. Never load more than me and my petite wife anyway. Is this do-a-ble? And where might the fuse be for the leveling feature? Can't find one even under the back seat ( unless I don't know how they abbreviated same) Thanks guys and gals. |

Re: BOTH rear shocks dumped fluid!
What's your ride like right now? Bouncy? I changed the front struts in mine, did nothing to the back now the back end is messed up. Did I mess up the load leveler somehow? It feels as if I have no shocks!

Re: BOTH rear shocks dumped fluid!
I would rather liked to have put regular shocks on the back of mine, but no one wanted to stick out their necks and tell me "this will work". The Monroe MA822s I put on as a direct replacement were considerably cheaper than several of the possibles I looked at though in the end. I paid $58 or $59 for a pair here in Iowa.

Re: BOTH rear shocks dumped fluid!
Got a pair of Monroe's MA822 air shocks. Easy change, plugged right in to the leveling system.
75,000 on originals! Cost me $75.75 with the NY taxes. Overnight delivery from Advance Auto. |

Quote:
#2 fuse on the driver side is marked ELC and is for the ELC relay, and #23 on the passenger side is also marked ELC and is for the control itself.
