Troubleshooting Dead Tach and Check Engine Light? Please help

I have a 1998 Chevy s-10/ Blazer. 4.3L V6....So anyway, I'm driving down the road and my tachometer suddenly dies and then my check engine light comes on. The car runs but not very smoothly. My first reaction was to change out the crank sensor. So I did and it didn't fix the problem. I got a code for the cam sensor and mass air flow as well. I replaced the cam sensor and still nothing. Has anybody seen this before? If not what do you guys think it might be. TPS? AIR FLOW?
I sincerly appreciate any help!

Did you get the code scanned when the tach died?

Not really.

But you need to get those codes again if they come up.

I've got a 98 Sonoma with the 4.3, had the same problems about 3 years ago. I'm fairly sure that you need a new Mass Airflow Sensor, but you'll stell want to retrieve your codes just to be sure.
I recomend the Granatelli Motorsports High Performance MAS. It fixed my stuttery truck and gained me a few horses from the wider bore.

Just fixed my truck that had the dying tach problem. It was the cam sensor. Not sure of your problem but it's a good idea to get a scanner.
