88 trooper starter short?

I may have a short in the wiring between my starter and battery, but it seems to be a fairly specific part with connecting clips at each end, I am away from home and don't have my Hanes book with me, so I don't know if I can put a general part in there, that is what they seem to have at the auto part shops around town or just wait to order one. Does anyone know the specific name for this wire so I can look for it more specifically? Any suggestions pertaining would be appreciated.
