Re: 2000 neon brake problem

Did you use anti-squeal compound on the back of the brake pads?

Re: 2000 neon brake problem

Just as the auto parts man. The stuff is gooey and tacky and goes on the backs of the brake pads. It keeps the brake pads from vibrating.

Re: 2000 neon brake problem

My girl's car had the same problem. I checked out her brakes and tehy were still fine. I applied some brake grease compound on the back of all 4 pads and the noise is gone. Just make sure you don't get any grease on the front of the pad it-self.
