v6 accord cam gears and nos

i gotta 96 v6 accord and I got my nitrous kit ready to hook up but i heard you should retard your timing so that your engine wont get damaged. the only way i know of doing this is by adjustable cam gears and sum electronics but im pretty sure they dont make cam gears for my car. do you kno of any other way of adjusting the timing. lemmie kno.
