Unhappy too much racing NOT a good thing.....

well i messed up my probe.. damm it there goes another $300 down the drain.. i "blew the welds on my exhaust mainflod" (yup str8 for f&f)

i had crackes on my exhaust mainflod.. so i got them welded a month ago... now they blew out again last night.. i was comming home form work, this jetta 1.8t dropped, intake, exhaust,ect.. cuts me off so i got mad, so i pulled up next to him and he starts to pull, so i drop it inot 2nd at 55mph, the rpmz shoot to 4k and i hit boost hard.. 12.5 psi all the way, i killed his ass my 2 cars.. but i payed the price.. i soon found out that when i steped on my gass, i had a massive turbo lag and my car got very very noisy, i only get 5psi now.. if i push it i get 10psi at neat my red line.. it suck ass..

i hate driving with little boost and a big ass exhauts mainflod leak.. it sucks, the rpms go up soo slow the car is sooo slugish... man i feel like a civic with a big exhaust lolz... i need my boost agian..

:cliff notes:
raced a 1.8t, gared down to quicky and preceeded to floor it, blew the welds on my exhasut mainflod, now have only 5psi...

Re: too much racing NOT a good thing.....

That must be some cheap ass metal that Ford put on those probes. My gosh i'm boosting about 20 psi all the time, and I don't see that problem. My advise is to get it fixed, save up, and sell it before racing again. I thought those cars were pretty stout reliability wise?????

you blew that welds on your exhuast manifold. where the orignal quote is. "you blew the welds on your intake manifold" which is virtually impossible to do unless you put dynamite in there. anyways to clear things up. turbo2nr's original manifold had a crack in it and he had it patched up by welding it. however its cast iron and cast iron is veyr veyr hard to weld. so it wasn't goin to hold very long. i'm starting to break thru the welds on my turbo manifold too. i have a rev hard cast iron one that i ported. however teh cast iron is made of cheap shit. so it cracked. and i had the guy welded it but there was still small little cracks in it and now i'm starting to hear more of a exhuast leak. so that means i'm gonna have to change the manifold soon. it lasted a good while for a aftermarket one though. since most tubular steel ones only last 10K miles max and some only last 3K miles. mine lasted over 30K miles.
