Exterior Door Handles

Hello to all. Im new to this place, and I must say there is a lot of useful Info here. I have a problem, a while back I had the cadillac door handles installed on my tahoe. Now I just purchased this flamed out grab handles and what to replace the simple cadillac chrome ones. I took everything apart and im stuck on the pin that holds it in. It goes neither up nor down, is there a way to remove these? does anyone know where i may see some diagrams... thank you, glad to be a part of this forum.
