Newb question
About 3 months ago i got a K&N air filter and replaced the stock one. How often should i check on it and relube and clean it. Some days seems like my car has less power. Could this be contributed to my air filter or is it cause i live in colorado where its dry and warm a lot causing less power? That camaro is my bros he put it on here for some reason i own a 3.8 99 Stang

20. How do I know when to clean the filter?
The general rule of thumb is that the filter needs to be cleaned when the dirt build up gets as thick as the wire mesh. The usual interval is 30,000 - 50,000 miles depending on driving conditions. We recommend that you check your filter about once a year in normal usage. From the K&N site.

i agree i would check it once a year for build up.. and wheather conditions do have an effect on the cars performance...
