clean it up with brake cleaner or degreaser, let it run for a bit and find out where its coming how. As for the gromet, maybe it got cocked or something when you put the valve cover back on or some shit. Just take it off and make sure its seated correctly. Did you torque the valve cover bolts?

leak

my 1st motor had an oil leak in the number 1 cylinder,I had blowby,
car never smoked, but maybe a big puff of blue smoke like once a day, while driving at a low rpm in a higher gear,
I done a compression test on it & it was the piston ring,
unless you rebulit the rings too at the right settings, you shouldnt have no problem with this
but im not forshore if this is your case,
if you say you have oil bypassing the gromets/gaskets on your valve cover, they need replaced & have the bolts that hold the valve cover on, tightened hand tight, besides that did you buy new head bolt & use a tourqe wrench & tighten the head bolts at the manufacturers specs?

Thats exactly what im saying, did you torque all these bolts to specs? If you go too tight on the valve cover, youll squish the gasket and itll be junk. I think its like 7ft/lbs. And the head bolts need to be torqued for obvious reasons.
