2000 Suburban 1500 305/70r16 on stock rims
I have a stock 2000 Suburban 1500 4x4 (no lift kit)and I have 305/70r16 on the stock GM rims with no problems (what are they 7" or 8 " wide?). When I bought them, I went to Big 10 Tires and told them I wanted the largest tires to fit without problems, and this is what they put on. They also raised front torsion half an inch or more.
The driverside front tire rubbed only on tightest right turn, so I cut an inch off the rubber inside the wheel well and problem solved. I have been off road a half dozen times with no problems, no rubbing. I doubt any larger tire would fit inside the wheel well. Bill |

Re: 2000 Suburban 1500 305/70r16 on stock rims
I am very happy with the tires - BF goodrich All Terrain - I spend most time driving in the city and a bit off road - mud/water and sand mostly - great traction - I'm very pleased. I was told that as the tread wears, they will get a little noisy - time will tell.
