A/C Problem

I bought my 99 Expedtion Eddie Bauer with 87,000 miles on it 3 months ok. Its been alright up until now..I have 92,000 on it now and the A/C clutch is rattling..i think. I am nervous..

(((Because my 02 Taurus just went down a couple weeks ago with a rattling and then the belt broke and now i am buying a compressor and spending 700 dollars to fix it))

I dont want the same thing to happen to the Expedition.

When I look under the hood i see the pulley inbetween the compressor and the outside bracket of the clutch and is rattling making more noise in the A/C is off.
A/C still works.

(In the taurus the a/c stopped working and i kept driving it and finally the car broke) Does that mean that truley was the compressor, cuz i had no A/C?

The Expedition A/C still works....SO its probably a bad pulley, I dont know
