K&N FIPK for 1993 4Runner

Wondering if anyone has installed a K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit.
Does it boost your performance? Easy to install? I have read a tutorial
on taking out the silencer on the air intake system for a 3.0L...but if ppl
have had good experiences with these K&N FIPKs...I may just opt for one
of these. Tryin' to get a little more acceleration out of my 93 4Runner .

Thanks

Here's a somewhat relevant discussion. I do not recommend K&N products for the reasons cited.

I have one on my 88 3.0...along with that and headers, it seems to have helped, espically since i run on 33's. It came with it when i bought it, so i really dont know how much of a difference it makes. I like it enought to not get rid of it, but i dont think i would pay $200 or whatever it is for one.
