replacing head gasket?
hey all, i currently own a 90' corolla sr5 and was going put the mr2 turbo engine in and do out when my manager at work says she wants to sell her '90 supra i3.0 turbo targa. i can get it for about 4 grand canadian but apparently it needs the head gasket done. i know that they take quite a bit of work but i'm willing to do it to save costs. just in case i can't though, does anyone know what the cost of a new HG is? thanks, i'd like to be able to get this car.

Re: replacing head gasket?
www.supraforums.com has a FAQ sticky about what is needed for the BHG.
typically people buy the HKS Metal HG and upgrade the head studs. There's also some plaining/lapping that is recommended in the process. Good luck. the HKS HG is around 120.00-ish. |
