ABS pumpmotor relay

My 1999 Blazer's ABS system has died. I've had it apart enough to know the pumpmotor relay is no good. IS there any way to externally wire a relay in? I think I can see how to wire the relay. It's the feedback signals I'm not sure about. Whose brainy idea was it anyway to make a relay nonreplacable? THey want $1000 to replace the valve block. Hogwash.

Re: ABS pumpmotor relay

Boy, I must be brain dead. I meant to say my 96 S-10 ABS has died. In which case this is the wrong forum. My apologies

I was thinking about my Blazers gas guage problem when I typed this.

Re: ABS pumpmotor relay

THe pump motor relay is one of those things that is guarenteed to wear. ANy car in the junk yard will also have a worn relay. THis is such a major hassle I'd rather get a new relay so I can get some life out it. Besides I already checked and used valve blocks are still $200. just to replace a $5 relay. For the want of a horseshoe......

Re: ABS pumpmotor relay

get a used one that works.

The nothing or everything mentality is a little concerning.

Re: ABS pumpmotor relay

Right on! Before I dropped a bundle on a brand new one, I'd see what was available at the Auto-recyclers (They're not Junk yards anymore)
