thanks george

just a place to vent and say thanks to george bush. let's hear your personal experiences or things that have happened to your friends or family because of geeeeorge duba hue bu bu ba bush.

1. Dad got laid off
2. 5 Friends gone to iraq for 5-20 months with no meaningfull mission.

Go ahead, let it all out.

Please no smart ass replys to anything in here. just keep it to venting your frustrations then finding somewhere else to post so this doesn't go off topic and get closed. (see I asked nice)

Thanks George!

Thanks for cutting my taxes.

Four coworkers have relatives (sons and brothers) in Iraq. Every one of of them thinks its the right place to be.

People get laid off because of the business - not because of a president. If they have skills they can get jobs. If they don't like how the business is run, then they can get the funding together and start their own business.

I am venting my frustration on those that are looking for someone to blame. Nobody is forced to join the armed services, take a specific job, stay were they are at or forced to live their life a certain way. A job belongs to a company not the employee and a lot of people can't seem to come to terms with that. To many people are whining little children. Those people need to grow a fucking sack.

Edit: This post was not directed at anyone specifically. However, I can not be held responsible for those who fall into the scapegoat seeking category.

Re: thanks george

you want to blame someone for your dad getting laid off.

1. if he was Union, well there's you answer, unions are the worst thing to happen to america.

2. his line of buisness is depleeding b/c of a faded desire in product.

3. i hope this isn't the case, but they lay people off for being lazy.

non of the above have anything to do with bush.

but the main one has EVERYthing to do with democrats

focus your blame correctly please

Thanks Yogs! And everyone also needs to remember that anything done economically takes years to have an affect.

Thanks George! For keeping in mind how important small businesses are to this country.

And dbebesi, thanks for pointing out the unions as well.

Re: thanks george

I disagree on the union issue! The topic starter never said his dad was in a union. The unions protect the workers. Blame NAFTA and not the unions blame the greedy businesses. I am not saying all businesses are greedy but look at ENRON, MCI, the list grows everyday. JOb losses come about from bad choices and advice not form the unions..

And your 5 friends made a choice they signed up, they are making a paycheck. What did they think signing up for miltary service wouldn't required them to do their duty.

Whoa whoa whoa, everybody mark this down on your calendar... Not only is this the third anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, but Flatrater and myself are actually agreeing on two entirely seperate issues, at the same time.

I agree whole heartedly, it's the choice you make when you sign up. However, it could be argued that those troops would be much better used, and much safer routing out terrorists in other parts of the world, rather than occupying a country and being shot at.

It was bound to happen that you would agree with the truth for once.

Now some omore about our soliders. My brother was in Iraq with the Air Force so I think that gives me a right to speak about this.

When our citizens and non-citizens sign up for the miltary they have a duty to do orders to follow no matter if they agree or disagree. In return for doing their duty they are given benifits for their service like college tution, retirement pensions and so on. When some soliders signed up they wanted the bennies yet didn't want to earn them, these benifits are no free they come with a price and the price is 4 years of your life.

If you disagree with the war then you have a choice to make, you are not forced to go Iraq with no options. So if you think this war is bullshit feel free to leave the miltary and the benifits behind.

As for getting out of high school and having no choice but to sign up for duty, that excuse is bullshit. You have many options open to you and you choose which ever way you want to go. I made a choice when I got out of high school which was to go to college. I took out loans and grants paid for my eduction on my own with no help from anyone. So don't tell me you have no options open to you.

Cbass reading this confuses me to no end. You are saying we should go somewhere else in the world to fight terrorist yet we shouldn't occupy another country. That would be kinda hard wouldn't it? If you are implying we should stay in America and fight terrorists that is the job of the FBI and the National Guard.

Funny, last time I checked the terrorists in Afghanistan were allegedly the ones who masterminded and orchestrated the attacks three years ago to this day.

Whereas Iraq... Didn't account fully for the destruction of their WMD, which it turns out, they actually did!

Re: thanks george

If America were ever occupied by a foreign power under false pretences,I'd expect ever American to defend to the last man what is theirs by right.

By the same token, I have no problem with any Iraqi who wants George to fuck off and mind his own business.

If you think that this is a bullshit war, would you like to be there the next time we get attacked? Do you want to hold the big bullseye sign? Probably not.
