Transmission code P0741

Transmission code p0741 means "Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance Stuck Off". Can somebody tell me what this means and what should be done to troubleshoot and fix. Problem is on a 1998 aurora. Many thanks.

Re: Transmission code P0741

Would that have to do with the performance/normal switch on your shifter maybe?

Re: Transmission code P0741

Pretz,
It means the TCC is being commanded on, but the speed sensor at the tranmission is indicating to the PMC that the TCC is slipping beyond the limits programmed into the PCM. I have this exact same problem and it's serious. I can give you some information on it, if you like, as I've been researching it. Email me privately. [email protected]
