Just curious as to if anyone knows if the back window needs replacing do they just put a new convertable top on?

Re: Rear window on convertable

well i dont own a spyder but ill give it a shot... i believe the back window is glass.. therefor i would assume it has a seal just like any other glass and the glass dude could come replace it like any other windshield..

Re: Rear window on convertable

I'm curious as to if "the whole top needs replacing"..catch my drift....

It does have some type of adhesive, kinda epoxy-like... but it's not like it's been siliconed

Re: Rear window on convertable

seriously guys, i have never fiddled with the rear window or the top. However, all the convertibles I know, have the glass part detachable...so no, I do not think you need to replace the entire top if you want to replace just the glass. Think about it, they make the cloth first, then sew/velcro/epoxy the glass on there.

Why you asking though? Everything okay?
