Re: spark plugs

youre gonna skin knuckles and such, so expect it, your gonna have to use a 5/8th in socket, and a ratchet, with a two inch extention, the front four can be got at from the top, and i usually get the back four from under the car, youll have to put her on jack stands, make sure the car is cold when you do this because you will be resting your arms on the manifolds. it is a pain in the ass, usually takes me about an hour to do all eight plugs. but other than that, thats pretty much it. i also reccomend doing them one at a time, so that you dont mess up plug wire routing.

Re: spark plugs

you may also want to get an old spark plug boot to use as a starter for when you are putting the new plugs in... Works well for me... BTW it takes me almost two hours to change them and I've done it a few time if not more... Maybe I just dont bend like some...

Re: spark plugs

step one - grow tentacles like an octopus so you can bend your arms in the 17 different angles it takes to reach a plug....lol

Re: spark plugs

i paid $100 at a garage to have them put in my rs, and the bastards broke the o2 sensor off my driverside manifold, then told me that the spark plugs didnt fix the miss that the sensor was blowed out and they tried to charge me another $65 to change it, i dont really trust some places. i found a set of ramps at, magic mart for $17, they are made for camaros firebirds and vettes, so you dont tear off the gfx, i change my own oil and do all that matenence. i used to pay $23 a time to have it changed, and they are sopposed to lube the chassis
and steering components but they dont. be wary of were you take your car cause they might just screw it up even worse.

But ya hot cars from joy riding old ladies that wine bitch and moan until you are done sucks. Got a 3rd degree burn from a cat when I was reconecting the modulator for some old prick that !had to go! right now!!
