Much has already been written about Roosevelt's campaign of deception and outright lies in getting the United States to intervene in the Second World War prior to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941. Roosevelt's aid to Britain and the Soviet Union in violation of American neutrality and international law, his acts of war against Germany in the Atlantic in an effort to provoke a German declaration of war against the United States, his authorization of a vast "dirty tricks" campaign against U.S. citizens by British intelligence agents in violation of the Constitution, and his provocations and ultimatums against Japan which brought on the attack against Pearl Harbor -- all this is extensively documented and reasonably well known.[1]

Not so well known is the story of Roosevelt's enormous responsibility for the outbreak of the Second World War itself. This essay focuses on Roosevelt's secret campaign to provoke war in Europe prior to the outbreak of hostilities in September 1939. It deals particularly with his efforts to pressure Britain, France and Poland into war against Germany in 1938 and 1939.

Franklin Roosevelt not only criminally involved America in a war which had already engulfed Europe. He bears a grave responsibility before history for the outbreak of the most destructive war of all time.

First of all, NOBODY wanted that war more than Hitler
Secondly, whats your point, Roosevelt wanted to pressure countries into attacking germany in 1938, heres a little timeline for you if you are curious as to what was going on in germany around that time
1936
Nazis boycott Jewish-owned business.

- The Olympic Games are held in Germany; signs barring Jews are removed until the event is over.

- Jews no longer have the right to vote.

1938
German troops annexed Austria.

- On Kristallnacht, the 'Night of Broken Glass,' Nazis terrorized Jews throughout Germany and Austria - 30,000 Jews are arrested.

- Jews must carry id cards and Jewish passports are marked with a "J."

- Jews no longer head businesses, attend plays, concerts, etc.;

all Jewish children are moved to Jewish schools.

- Jewish businesses are shut down; they must sell businesses and hand over securities and jewels.

- Jews must hand over drivers's licenses and car registrations.

- Jews must be in certain places at certain times.

1939
Germany takes over Czechoslovakia and invades Poland.

- World War II begins as Britain and France declare war on Germany.

- Hitler orders that Jews must follow curfews; Jews must turn in radios to the police; Jews must wear yellow stars of David.

1940
Nazis begin deporting German Jews to Poland.

- Jews are forced into ghettos.

- Nazis begin the first mass murder of Jews in Poland.

-Jews are put into concentration camps.



Good job Roosevelt! Germany shouldve been attacked sooner. Once Hitler came to power we souldve known that Gremany would want another chance at war. I honestly done even see WWI and WWII as being two different wars. There were just so many dead after WWI that countries needed time to raise another generation of troops, and that is exactly what hapened. A democratic prez pressures other countries into going to war with a country who was murdering millions of people because of their herritage and he is wrong, but Bush attacks iraq for SUPPOSED reasons which turn out not to even be well founded and you support him. Cant say i understand what is gointg through your head.

it's sad, but what else can you do? most people that are voting for kerry are just voting anti-bush, not pro kerry. it's either that or waste the vote.

Indeed,but considering the incumbent only got in on a court decision, and has procedeed to stuff it up both at home and overseas......is it surprising?

You have an amazing definition of facts then. Nobody was defrauded. You cannot find one piece of proof that Gore won more votes in Florida then Bush did. None. You inability to see past that is quite telling.

Bush has had many successes and some failures. Like any other person would have. Your mild effort at posing a loaded question non-withstanding, Bush will win his second term.

Who started the court drama? Bush won legally and a crying whining Gore tried using the courts to overturn Bush's victory.
