Water Pump

This is my first time here. Can somebody give me some info on my water pump? (1995 Rodeo Isuzu V6 2 door 2 wheel drive) I was told I need a special tool other than the regular wrenches, etc. What kind of tool would this be and for what use? Timing belt possibly? Also can somebody refer me to a web sight for the schematics and installing this stupid thing without buying a Chilton. Thanks for any info you can help me with.

Re: Water Pump

you wil need a 12mm wrench, a 12 mm socket shallow and deep, 14mm socket, 8 mm allen wrench and a 24 mm socket (crankshaft bolt)
you may have a hard time getting the cooling fan off rust penatrant helps let it soak for about an hour
there are no special tools needed

Sounds like he is trying to make the job sound more difficult than it is so he can charge you more.

Yep. Either that or he doesn't want to loose money tackling a job he is unfamiliar with.

G/luck
