Horrible Vibration

Hey new to this forum... Well anywho I jest bought an 89 toyota supra automatic nonturbo. No less than a week we have a problem as much as it has 160k miles on it its a very solid car for the year yet It has this terrible vibration and its not drivable. At first it was small and not much of a problem thinking it was the suspension we didnt bother to look into it. Yet over the week of it being driven the vibration got worse we had it's oil changed and since hadnt been changed since spring apparently the guy's son didnt much care for getting it done but other than that the rest of the car was in good shape for the year. Everything like oil pressure and idle are fine and good but the loss of power and horrible vibration has made the car difficult to drive, it's like only one half of the engine works. When you start it up the thing shakes and rattles like mad....It all dosnt make sence i dont know what the deal is my dad and Im are stumped and i figured you guys could maybe help.

Re: Horrible Vibration

If fuel isn't being burnt then have you tried replacing the plugs yet? Look at the rotor button, plug wires, that kind of thing. What is this vibration your talking about? Is it a vibration from the engine idling to low or is it a vibration from the drivetrain/tires?

Re: Horrible Vibration

we got it to run a bit yesterday yet when we gave it gas it died. When it was running it was bad we found it seems to have the same problem as my brothers 92 maxima but we arnt sure. It might be the fuel injecters because the engine seems like it chokes when it runs and the intake gags a bit when it turns off this is as much as i can say for now, we are going to tow it to a shop have some things checked out like the timeing belt but its been 7 years since it was last changed and it cant go out that fast well let me know your oppinions on the deal thx.
