2000 intake

Posted a ? about the wife's zx2 stalling and got no response. Not upset, just not as many wrenches on this site as they think they are. Took it to a pro and said it was an intake gasket and possibly throttle body gasket. Anybody else had a problem with this?

Re: 2000 intake

Did you read the post "stalling out"? Do you have any ideas, if you don't think it is intake or t.b. gaskets? I'll post in a couple of days, what problem was after we get it back from shop.

Re: 2000 intake

Got the car back today. Problem was intake gasket and throttle body gasket causing a lean condition. Runs great now.

Re: 2000 intake

you mean intake manifold gasket and throttle body gasket? and unless it was a gaping hole its weird that it would stall out on that...

Yeah, I know, but that is what service order says. I didn't get to see old parts,I was at work when the wife picked up car.

Re: 2000 intake

You have to look at the place where you are asking questions, then you have consider the fact that none of the "wrenches" on here can even see your car let alone diagnose the problem. Its alot easier to look at the car in person then troubleshoot it then fix it than go with what someone who has no clue whats going on type it on a forum. But thats just my 2 cents.

Re: 2000 intake

Stalling at idle or on dropping throttle, or rough idle, vacuum leaks are always first suspect.
