nankang tires??
Do any of you all have nankang tires on your car? Well I got a set of 17" low profile z rated nankang tires on my civic and I was just wondering if anyone has had the same probem as me, and that is no traction when the roads are wet. It feels like my car is all over the place as soon as it starts to rain, and when I try to pull out from a stop the tires allways seem to spin, I rather have my tires spin then burn out my clutch. Whats you alls opinion is it because they are z rated or because they are low profile.. I have had these tires for about 8 months now and they still look like they have some life left in them..(I do need to rotate them) They seem like they wore out fast..
Well just to get to the bottom of it if any of you have nankang tires what do you think of them.. |

Re: nankang tires??
I use Dunlop Sport A2's and I love them. I know there are more "fashionable" brands of tires out there, like Kumho or Hankook, but the Dunlops grip the road in any weather, and riding on high-end racing tires doesn't mean shit if you're ass-over-teakettle in a ditch somewhere.
I agree with Ace; cut your losses and find some new tires. You may want to try http://www.tirerack.com and check the ratings.
